You: The Movie

A great way to reflect and see things using different lenses is to take something out of context or think of it in another context. Reframing is a thought exercise that helps us discover nuances or change our perspective.

You: The Movie is a seemingly simple exercise that can reveal multiple insights about what you otherwise take for granted or overlook.

One way to play with this creative experience is before you start your day. Think of your upcoming day, what you have planned, what you want to achieve, and what could go wrong. Consider the places you will visit and the people you will meet. Now, imagine all this as a movie. Add a cinematic flair and a soundtrack to the film you imagine.

When you have this vivid picture, think of the movie’s title.

An alternative option is to do this exercise before you call it a day. Recall what happened today, what you have experienced, how it made you feel, and what you would rather leave on the editing room floor.

To spice things up, you can choose the title of a real movie or use one as the basis and add a twist to it.
