Exactly one year ago, I published the first creative experience on CreativityMEDS.com. The goal was to inspire people (myself included) to be more creative — to spice up each day with one activity that will make us observe, change perspective, reflect, write, imagine, and create. Like any other year-long project, it was a commitment, but at the same time, it was anything but routine. It was a pledge to make every day special.
This is not the end, but it is a milestone. It is also an opportunity to commit to a 365 project of your own.
If all previous Creativity MEDS were typically designed to take no more than a few minutes, this adventure, should you choose to accept it, will take at least one year. Your year-long investment will yield profound returns.
A 365 project is a commitment. A creative commitment. A pledge to do something daily, but find a new angle each time. You can decide to write one poem a day. You can commit to taking one photograph of a special door, a flower, or an unexpected treasure every day. One might choose to engage in a short conversation with a stranger on a daily basis. A 365 project has clear rules and boundaries, yet it is an infinite playground for you to be creative, evolve, and challenge your imagination.
Pick a theme. Set the rules and create day 1 out of 365 today. Don’t give up even when you find it challenging or think you are doing more of the same. And if, by any chance, the creative experience from CreativityMEDS.com helps you develop ideas for your endeavor, drop me a message. There’s nothing that would make me happier.
